Our Mission
Harmony Athletics is a personal training and performance enhancement organization located in Evanston, Illinois. Our goal is to help you improve your quality of life through exercise, nutrition, and recovery. This could mean losing that extra weight you've been carrying, getting back in the game, or looking better and feeling good about yourself. Whether you are new to the gym or have been on the sidelines for a while, we can help you define your path to success, one step at a time.
Our Programs
Our programs place balance before strength. What good is strength if the body isn't properly aligned? That's just creating more work for your muscles and increasing the chance of injury. We will work with you to restore range of motion to your joints and balance to your body. This will allow your body to function in a safer, smoother, and more efficient manner.
Releasing Tension
Restoring range of motion does not simply mean stretching. It means releasing the tension stored in muscles in the form of trigger points. This is why massage is also an integral part of our programs. Trigger points are contractile knots of muscle fibers that do not allow a muscle to reach the entirety of its length. Stretching a muscle filled with trigger points can be very painful and can easily result in injury. Stretching should never be painful. It should feel good! We can show you how.
Developing Strength
Building total-body strength is only safe once range of motion is restored. We achieve this by activating the muscles of the upper body, lower body, and abdominals at the same time. Not only do you burn a ton of calories in your workout and build lean muscle for weight loss, but you also build functional strength that carries over to athletics and everyday life.
Staying Balanced
Nutrition is what makes all of this possible. Nutrition is vital to health, performance, and weight loss. Proper nutrition maintains your energy levels, keeps your metabolism burning, and fuels your performance. Without it, you will lack energy and motivation, struggle to finish workouts, and take longer to recover. Eventually you'll end up injured, if you can stick with the program. Fuel your body for success!
